About The Position

The main function of this position is to keep the bin storage area, warehouse area and other areas, as assigned by supervisor, clean and presentable.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for food safety by following HACCP and Food Safety policies/procedures.
• Responsible for plant safety by working safely, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, by reporting safety hazards to your supervisor and by observing persons entering your work area, asking if you can assist them and reporting unauthorized persons to your supervisor.
• Working at protected heights for extended periods of time, ability to climb ang stoop.
• Must be able to routinely lift 50 – 100 pounds.
• Working conditions can be dusty and temperature is ambient to outside temperatures.
• Attending monthly food safety and sanitation training is required.
• To sweep the area under and around the storage bins, shovel up all product on the ground area, and discard properly.
• To use compressed air to clean the bin tops; to work in other areas as needed.
• A person must be able to recognize work needing to be done and work with very little supervision to accomplish end results.
• Other duties may be assigned.
