About The Position

The General Utility Worker (GUW) is an entry-level role at Con Edison's Astoria Transformer Shop, located in Astoria Queens. The primary responsibility is to learn and perform mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks, including reconditioning transformers, network protectors, and other critical equipment. This position also involves hands-on field work with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork. Mission Statement: Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc.
