About The Position

Cleans and maintains work areas and makes minor repairs requiring use of hand tools.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean 3-year driving record (in order to operate a company vehicle on public roads) and be able to work with other departments to accomplish tasks.
• Must be able to work in all types of weather - many of these job functions will be completed out doors.
• Must be able to climb stairs, ride a man lift, lift up to 60 lbs.
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the GUP duties with the Sanitation department.
• The Floater is responsible but not limited to all duties required for Mowing, keeping yards free of debris, check tin cats, check bait stations, check ILT’s, weed control, driving/maintaining the sweeper truck, and assisting in fumigation.
• Fumigation would include the vault, rail cars, bins, trailers, and containers.
• Fumigation, Rodent and Weed control would include all of SRD buildings and grounds.
• The GUP would also be responsible for completing “as needed” tasks assigned by Supervisor.
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor.
