About The Position

Arch Materials is an underground limestone mine/quarry seeking candidates to fill our need for a General Utility Person for our night shift operation located in Batavia, OH. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to: General plant/mine labor and clean-up of production areas, including shoveling stone from around conveyors and assist with plant clean up and operations.

Requirements

• Properly follow all company policies and regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Ability to maintain safe working conditions.
• Self-motivated individual, must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision.
• Able to perform a variety of duties, some which may include plant clean-up, maintenance, operating equipment and other duties as assigned.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

• Must be willing to work weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• General plant/mine labor and clean-up of production areas, including shoveling stone from around conveyors.
• Assist with plant clean up and operations.
• Being trained in various other entry level production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences and increased production demand times.
• Operate equipment, including but not limited to: skid steer and loader.
• Report equipment problems and identify them to management.
• Light maintenance work and maintain the belt lines.
• Complete equipment pre-shift report – if applicable.
• Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management.
