About The Position

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Must have strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting and Machine Operator experience Must be able to work as a part of a team and independently Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base profile (below) for this position Must meet the company quality and performance standards for the job as specified Must agree to wear the proper assigned PPE and shoes approved for this job as specified in Contact and Safety Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Set up and operation of various machines Run material through machine according to company specifications Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations Ensure correct materials are used to meet customer specifications Ensure all inventory entries are complete and accurate Inspect and maintain quality of product Meet all quality and efficiency standards Meet all company safety policies and report any concerns related to required maintenance of machines Test operation of machines periodically Special projects as business dictate Duties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assigned REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this position and to the safety regulations Ability to follow detailed instructions including reading a tape measure, blueprints, production schematics Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job Ability to perform all the job functions safely PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (standing, lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, twisting, stopping, and pulling) Frequently required to talk or hear The employee is required to reach with hands and arms The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
