About The Position

The General Utility position is essential for supporting the production of corrugated paper products. The individual must demonstrate proficiency in various essential functions, showcasing adaptability, attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and effective communication. The role involves assisting line leads and machine operators, conducting product quality inspections, promoting safety standards, and performing varied departmental tasks to meet production goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in the corrugated paper industry preferred.
• At least 6 months of experience as a Flexo or DieCut Helper.
• 6 months of experience in the Press and Finishing Departments.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions accurately.
• Ability to quickly and accurately use a tape measure and perform basic calculations.
• Must have a good understanding of high school-level math.
• Ability to follow written, verbal, or visual instructions.

Nice To Haves

• Basic understanding of equipment design and operation.
• Knowledge of product layouts and production specifications.
• Familiarity with quality standards and product specifications.
• Valid Lift Truck Operator License may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Line Lead and Machine Operators in the efficient production of corrugated paper products.
• Conduct regular quality checks on finished and in-process products.
• Promote and maintain safety standards by following facility's safety policies.
• Complete a range of duties within the assigned department, including machine set-up and product handling.
• Help achieve daily production goals by maintaining product quality.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient task completion.
• Ensure all work is performed according to company policies and quality expectations.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as directed by supervisors.
