Preventive maintenance entails regularly scheduled inspection of each hotel room on a rotating basis to ensure everything is in working order. All items contained within the hotel room must be fully operational prior to check-in of a guest. Care must be taken to ensure the following is completed (list not comprehensive): All outlets are in working order All lighting fixtures have working bulbs Television and remote control are operational Toilet, faucet and shower fixtures are working and properly affixed to the wall Doors close freely and are not warped Furniture is secure and stable; drawers are on track The hotel room must be safe, fully operationally and guest ready. A daily walk through of the designated areas and completion of a checklist will ensure items are completed. In additional to providing preventive maintenance, the General Technician will attend to guest service calls in the event an item needs to be addressed in a guest room. The General Technician is a highly visible position and has frequent guest interaction. Therefore, the General Tech must demonstrate professionalism at all times and have good customer service skills.
