About The Position
General Surgery - Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Willmar, MN Established practice with 4 surgeons and 3 advanced practice providers Extensive mentoring program Full time 1.0 FTE Monday- Friday, Days OR first assisting and clinic 1:6 to 1:7 first assist call Reflux Care and Bariatric Surgery Focus On the job training will be provided Locations served-CentraCare Willmar Clinic, CentraCare-Rice Memorial Hospital and CentraCare-Willmar Surgery Center, possible outreach CentraCare is committed to the patients and families we serve in the communities we call home throughout Central, West Central and Southwestern Minnesota. Requirements
- Nurse Practitioners must have a registered nurse license in Minnesota, have successfully completed a formal nurse practitioner program approved by a national accrediting agency and be certified by a national certification organization recognized by the Minnesota State Board of Nursing.
- Physician Assistants must have certification of completion from an accredited program for physician assistants (accredited on behalf of the AMA, American Medical Association or CAHEA, the Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation), be certified by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants).
- ACLS certification is required.
- Must be able to treat all ages
Nice To Haves
- Surgery experience preferred.
- Previous experience as an Advanced Practice Provider and/or Surgery experience is preferred but not required.
