About The Position
Houston Methodist Baytown is seeking a General Surgeon to join its expanding practice of 4 physicians. Located just 24 miles from downtown Houston, this is an excellent opportunity to join the #1 Hospital System in TX and the areas only full-service hospital specializing in medical care for patients at every stage in life. Primary focus on unplanned and urgent general surgery, including: Emergency general surgery (EGS): Acute appendicitis Cholecystitis Small bowel obstruction Perforated viscus GI bleeding requiring operative intervention Soft tissue infections and abscesses Hernias (urgent/emergent) Opportunity Highlights Multidisciplinary collaboration with ED, hospitalists, ICU, anesthesia, radiology, and nursing APP Support Shared call rotation About Houston Methodist Baytown: Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital has been meeting the health care needs of the residents of Baytown, Harris, Liberty and Chambers counties for more than 75 years, and is transforming health care in the region. Requirements
- Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
- Ability to obtain a Texas medical license or have a Texas medical license in good standing.
- Candidates with experience or new residents/fellows are welcome to apply.
