About The Position

Pagosa Springs Medical Center has an opportunity available for a full or part-time (0.75 FTE) GENERAL SURGEON. The general surgeon’s duties will include management of general surgery outpatients including examination, treatment, consultation, follow-up, referral, and ordering labs/imaging. The general surgeon will also perform general surgeries, colonoscopies and respond to traumas. The general surgeon will also participate in patient satisfaction programs, quality improvement initiatives and any organizational or departmental goals and objectives to assure safe, quality care. The general surgeon will work in PSMC’s Specialty Clinic. O.75 FTE SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION: Part-Time (0.75 FTE): five 8-hour shifts per week for 39 weeks per year (three of every four weeks). Limited call: approximately 2-3 days of call per week (7 days of call for every 3 weeks). Compensation: $1,850 per 8-hour shift FULL-TIME SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION: Full-Time: five 8-hour shifts per week except when on PTO. 260 hours of paid time off (PTO) per contract year. Limited call: 10 days of call per month. Compensation: $481,000 per year RETIREMENT 401a (mandatory plan): employee and employer each contribute 6% of earnings subject to five-year vesting. 457: optional retirement plan. Requirements

• Qualified candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
