About The Position

This position is located at Fort Novosel, Alabama, home of the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence. Fort Novosel is located in the 'Wiregrass' area in Southeast Alabama, surrounded by Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Recreation activities are abundant in the immediate and surrounding areas for family and fun.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance.
• This position requires that the employee occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 10% of the time.
• This position requires a pre-placement medical and annual medical surveillance exam in accordance with Occupational Health requirements.
• One year of specialized experience which includes: Assist with the preparation and coordination of the receipt, disposition, and distribution of supplies and equipment; Utilize automated systems to monitor and manage supply inventory and IT equipment; Support in interpreting policies and data to find solutions for supply-related issues; Review inventory reports to assure compliance with all regulations.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the senior general supply specialist, in charge of managing an effective supply and property management program for the organization.
• Prepare and coordinate the receipt, handling, and distribution of supplies and equipment.
• Utilize database systems to trace the location of equipment and manage inventory supplies.
• Ensure the proper storage, handling, and final disposition of IT equipment.
