About The Position

As a General Superintendent at Tutor Perini, reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to: Supervise and direct the work of discipline Superintendents across earthworks and structures construction efforts to ensure project is constructed safely in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Assume responsibility for planning, coordinating and supervising onsite functions (scheduling, subcontractor coordination, etc.). Assume responsibility for compliance of craft workers and subcontractors with contract requirements, efficient use of materials & equipment, site safety plan and timely performance of the project schedule. Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required. Assist project management in developing, project schedule, site logistics plan and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc. Support Site Specific Safety Plan. Coordinate with on-site Owner employees. Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Requirements

• 15 or more years of construction experience
• 10 or more years’ experience as a superintendent on heavy civil projects
• Experience as a superintendent on projects valued over $200M
• Previous Superintendent experience on bridge, highway or transit projects
• Knowledge, skills and experience with U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards.
• Knowledge of contract management and familiarity with local trade/unions/craft
• Experienced in MS Word/Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy bid or similar software
• OSHA certification, First Aid Certs
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Highschool diploma or GED preferred but not required

Nice To Haves

• Experience with City, State, Federal Government Clients preferred
• Highschool diploma or GED preferred but not required
