The General Shop Lead is primarily responsible for ensuring the employees receive proper training, equipment, documentation tools, etc. This role requires good communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Prior hands-on work experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Able to work under minimal supervision.
• Able to lift, push and pull carts and product within legal standards.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
• Punctual and reliable person.
• Must exhibit good judgment and personal as well as professional integrity.
• Self-motivated (independent).
• Must possess good communication and hands-on skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform production activities that require a broad knowledge of various processes, operations, and machines.
• Assist in the training of new employees and aid employees with questions regarding work standards.
• Oversee and monitor production to ensure quality and perform verifications and inspections of products and machines.
• Perform minor troubleshooting and maintenance to equipment and operate production machinery when there are personnel shortages or changes in scheduling.
• Document all department functions.
• Other job duties as required.
