About The Position

The General Services Tech at Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH), located in Gravette, AR, is responsible for assisting in the performance of duties necessary to keep the physical structure and associated equipment of the facility in good repair. This position requires knowledge and skill in a wide range of maintenance fields. The technician will assist the Engineering Department with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance. They will construct, repair, and maintain wooden structures such as furniture, equipment, partitions, and other parts of the hospital buildings, using hand tools and power tools according to written and oral instructions. The role also involves assisting in the operation and maintenance of boilers and other auxiliary equipment necessary for producing steam for heat and power. The General Services Tech may be required to respond to security needs of hospital and clinics personnel, patients, and visitors, and will participate in performance improvement and CQI activities. This is a part-time, weekend-only position within the Maintenance Department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active Arkansas boiler license required
  • Valid Driver's License required (If hired to drive)
  • Ability to teach/instruct and evaluate the learning of new employees
