About The Position

The General Service Technician role at Monro, Inc. is a full-time or part-time hourly position responsible for performing basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services. The technician is expected to deliver exceptional service to guests by effectively communicating vehicle issues and proposed solutions while ensuring quality and time commitments are met.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Automotive training in basic car maintenance and repair or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Ability to operate customer vehicles for test drives.
• Ownership of a basic set of tools or participation in Monro's tool purchase program.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform basic vehicle services and repairs in accordance with Monro standards.
• Perform tire services including wheel removal, balancing, patch/plug repairs, changing, mounting, installation, and TPMS service and repair.
• Conduct vehicle services such as lubrications, oil changes, and basic maintenance including bulb, wiper blade, and filter replacements.
• Complete Monro's Courtesy Inspection process on every guest vehicle, identifying and communicating additional needed services and repairs.
• Assist in inventory management including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking inventory.
• Maintain store cleanliness and ensure it is in guest-ready condition.
• Perform services in accordance with Monro's safety standards.
• Test drive vehicles following Monro's Road Test policy and local traffic laws.
• Adhere to company policies, governmental standards, and safety procedures.
• Maintain technical knowledge through Monro University training courses.
• Operate and maintain all equipment safely according to guidelines.
