About The Position
Delta World Tire is seeking a General Service Technician to join our team. As one of the area's largest independent tire dealers, we pride ourselves on our extensive inventory of over 30,000 tires and our commitment to providing quality automotive repair and preventative maintenance. Our ASE certified technicians are dedicated to delivering exceptional service, and as a General Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our operations. This position involves performing non-technical service repairs, including oil changes, tire and wheel related services, alignments, and flushes. You will work closely with our ASE Certified Automotive Technicians, gaining valuable training and experience that can help you advance your career towards becoming a certified ASE Automotive Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting customers to and from their residences or businesses using a company vehicle. You will also pick up parts, supplies, and tires from vendors or the corporate office. Operating the company vehicle safely and courteously while obeying all traffic laws is essential. Additionally, you will conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections on vehicles, perform tire mounting and dismounting, wheel balancing, and tire rotation, and carry out oil changes and other basic services as directed by the Shop Foreman or Store Manager. While performing these services, you will observe the general condition of vehicles and report any obvious repairs or safety concerns. Maintaining a clean and inviting shop environment is also part of your responsibilities, which includes keeping the service area, tire racks, showroom, and exterior of the building tidy. Following all safety procedures and reporting any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager is crucial to ensure a safe working environment. This position offers a competitive compensation range of $13-$16 per hour, depending on experience, and provides an excellent opportunity for career advancement within the automotive industry.
