About The Position

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable sales growth within a designated territory in the Americas business unit. This role focuses on achieving revenue and profit targets, building a robust opportunity pipeline, opening new accounts, and successfully introducing new products to the market.

Requirements

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in sales or business development with territory revenue of $20 million or greater.
  • Experience in the packaging or consumer products industry strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of container sealing and venting is a plus.
  • Experience managing strategic and global accounts.
  • Proficiency in developing a comprehensive relationship map within a customer.
  • Ability to define and communicate a tailored value proposition.
  • Demonstrated results in delivering growth through competitive share gains.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience negotiating business agreements and managing price and profit margin.
  • Experience managing varied sales channels from immediate customer to end market.
  • Experience in a technical and consultative selling capacity.
  • Experience in leading teams and managing projects with influence.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver profitable sales growth within a defined territory.
  • Maintain and grow existing business while developing an active opportunity pipeline.
  • Penetrate target markets and open new accounts.
  • Travel frequently (50%) within the territory to meet with customers and partners.
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Marketing, and Business Development to identify market opportunities.
  • Forecast and budget territory results.
  • Identify and mitigate areas of business risk.
