POSITION OVERVIEW The General Sales Manager oversees all new and pre-owned sales operations for Genesis, including team leadership, inventory strategy, performance management, customer experience, CRM utilization, equity mining, hospitality execution, and cross-department coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all retail sales operations for Genesis of Cherry Hill
  • Learn and understand complex OEM programs and align strategies with dealership and OEM objectives
  • Drive value-building negotiation strategy and disciplined desking oversight
  • Participate in forecasting for units, gross, expenses, and operating profit
  • Manage inventory ordering, allocation, model mix, and days supply
  • Guide pricing and promotions using market and performance data
  • Maintain vehicle display and merchandising standards
  • Ensure timely reconditioning and disposal of aged inventory
  • Conduct structured one-on-one meetings
  • Manage activity KPIs: calls, texts, emails, appointments, follow-up
  • Review appointment performance and closing results
  • Monitor CSI, Genesis Buyer Experience, and F&I penetration
  • Enforce CRM accuracy and discipline
  • Recruit, train, and develop the sales team
  • Establish and enforce luxury hospitality standards
  • Ensure professional greeting and engagement
  • Manage customer escalations
  • Maintain top-tier customer experience results
  • Drive CRM discipline and utilization
  • Execute data mining and equity strategies
  • Lead outreach for retention and conquest opportunities
  • Coordinate with Service, Parts, Body Shop, Detail, F&I, and Accounting
  • Manage Service-to-Sales Retail Program
  • Align departments on vehicle readiness and delivery timing
  • Strategize with Marketing to coordinate campaigns based on programs and inventory
