About The Position

Our Client is seeking an experienced General Manager with a strong roofing background to lead and grow operations. This individual will serve as the operational leader of the company, responsible for driving performance, building a strong safety culture, and guiding the organization through its next phase of growth. The General Manager will be empowered to shape operational processes, implement systems, and build a high-performing team while maintaining exceptional standards in quality, safety, and client service. This role requires a hands-on leader with roofing expertise, operational discipline, and the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced construction environment.

Requirements

5+ years roofing experience
Strong understanding of commercial & residential roofing systems and project execution
Proven experience managing roofing operations or production teams
Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA safety standards and jobsite safety programs
Experience utilizing technology platforms for daily reporting, scheduling, and project management
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Excellent organizational and communication abilities

Nice To Haves

Background in process improvement and operational system development
Experience leading multi-crew or multi-project roofing operations

Responsibilities

Operational Leadership Lead all day-to-day operations, including field operations, project management, and production.
Build and implement scalable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency, consistency, and accountability.
Drive operational performance across scheduling, labor productivity, quality control, and project execution.
Establish clear performance expectations for field teams, supervisors, and project managers.
Growth & Strategic Leadership Partner with ownership to develop and execute strategies that support sustainable company growth.
Help identify new opportunities within both commercial and residential roofing markets.
Ensure operational infrastructure supports company expansion.
Safety & Compliance Lead the development and implementation of a best-in-class safety culture.
Maintain strict adherence to OSHA standards and safety regulations.
Implement proactive safety programs, jobsite inspections, and training initiatives to minimize risk.
Technology & Reporting Utilize modern technology platforms to drive daily reporting, project tracking, and operational visibility.
Implement systems that improve communication between the office and field teams.
Monitor key metrics to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
Team Leadership Serve as the face of operations.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of field and office professionals.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Develop leadership within the organization to support long-term scalability.
