About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Alterations and Repairs Foreman, the General Repairperson (Mechanical Equipment Repairperson) performs work in the areas of light carpentry, plastering, flooring, masonry, painting, and general building maintenance and other duties.

Requirements

• Four (4) years of experience in the construction trade or building maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to translate general instructions and implement construction plans.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.
• Must have and maintain a current Massachusetts Driver's License.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.
• Boston Residency Required.

Nice To Haves

• Mass/Boston Builders License or Trade License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes general instructions and implements work plan to achieve desired results.
• Works with other crew members or independently on projects.
• Secures equipment and supplies.
• Responds to emergencies and other duties as required.
• Operates stationary and portable power tools and equipment.
• Maintains daily logs and reports as reasonably requested.
• Performs related work as required.
