About The Position

Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences is seeking a General Psychiatrist for a full-time faculty appointment at Loyola University Medical Center located in Maywood, IL. The selected candidate will be Board-Eligible or Board-Certified and will work closely with the Loyola clinical departments, participating in an academic medical center environment. This position offers the opportunity to engage with a diverse patient population, providing comprehensive psychiatric care. An Illinois medical license is required at the time of appointment. Loyola Medicine, part of Trinity Health, is a nationally recognized academic quaternary care system based in the western suburbs of Chicago. The system includes three hospitals: Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital, along with various locations offering primary and specialty care. Loyola University Medical Center is a 547-licensed-bed facility that features specialized centers such as the Ryan Center for Heart & Vascular Medicine and the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center, among others. The institution has a long-standing commitment to compassionate care and education, training the next generation of healthcare providers through its affiliation with Loyola University Chicago's Stritch School of Medicine and Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing. The General Psychiatrist will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to providing high-quality mental health services.
