About The Position

Mrs. Gerry’s was founded in 1973 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Mrs. Gerry’s is a premier salad and side manufacturer and offers 120 different products which are sold coast to coast. Mrs. Gerry's has an opportunity to work Part-time 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm Monday - Friday. Starting wage: $18.40 SUMMARY Part time Night Production person will be responsible for the cleaning and processing of produce (vegetables, fruit, etc.) required for daily production. They will ensure products are made with the highest quality possible.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Know and follow HACCP and SQF programs.
  • Know and follow all Food Safety procedures.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment. For more information see policy.
  • Bring flat bed with towels, eyers, knives and other cleaning tools to area.
  • Gather appropriate number of totes, pans, tubs, cutting boards, and sanitizer water.
  • Get out vegetables needed for the day’s production.
  • Sanitize the tables.
  • Clean up area when finished for the day. Take all dirty supplies and towels to kitchen. Make sure all cleaned products or unused products are in the appropriate cooler.
  • Each person is expected to be in position and ready mentally and physically to work at posted starting time.
  • Everyone is to wear rubber gloves and to keep them clean. Mrs. Gerry’s requires all employees cleaning vegetables to wear mesh gloves under their rubber gloves. If new ones are needed, ask your plant supervisor.
  • We are expected to work fast and efficiently with quality the foremost factor in mind.
