About The Position

The Production employee’s responsibilities include: Assists team members to produce quality product in an efficient manner while following HACCP, Good Manufacturing practices and production work lists. D&D Foods is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hy-Vee, Inc., an employee-owned grocery store chain serving the Midwest. Hy-Vee is synonymous with quality, variety, convenience, healthy lifestyles, culinary expertise and superior customer service. Its slogan “A Helpful Smile in Every Aisle,” expresses the foundation of the company’s operating philosophy. Our manufacturing facility in Omaha, Nebraska produces items in the fresh and frozen categories that are distributed to retail locations across our eight state trade area. Our products include Hy-Vee private label soups, chicken grillers, brats, as well as a wide assortment of value added meats.

Requirements

Attention to detail and follow through.
Ability to read and interpret written or verbal instructions.
Must be knowledgeable of safety program, procedures, sanitary practices and standards.

Food manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintaining and ensuring food safety.
Report any food safety deviations to your supervisor immediately.
Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
Adheres to company policies and departmental guidelines.
Follows production list provided by supervisor.
Ability to understand weights/measures and identify correct packaging.
Must be able to read and understand product dating requirements.
Works alongside others on a line or independently to complete production and clean up requirements.
Performs other job-related duties and assists in other areas of plant as needed.
Other duties as assigned by management.
