About The Position

The Production Operator is responsible for ensuring a safety-conscious environment within the facility. This role involves driving the facility's culture towards safety, engaging in safety initiatives, and attending all safety-related training. The operator will also ensure that work products meet or exceed the standards and specifications established by Quality Assurance and Compliance. Continuous improvement within the department and operations is a key focus, as well as supporting a team environment across the facility. The operator must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other company policies, ensuring proper specifications on products, tracking downtime, performing weight and code checks, maintaining cleanliness, and passing on information to incoming shifts.

Requirements

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Continuously drive the facility's culture toward a safety-conscious environment.
• Challenge status quo safety behaviors and engage in safety initiatives.
• Attend all safety-related training.
• Ensure work products meet or exceed standards set by Quality Assurance and Compliance.
• Initiate and drive continuous improvement within the department and operations.
• Engage and support a team environment within the department and across the facility.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety policies as outlined by the company.
• Ensure proper specification on product as a Production Operator.
• Track downtime downstream of filler and other applicable downtime equipment.
• Perform required weight and code checks at correct intervals.
• Clean machine regularly during production and maintain floor cleanliness.
• Complete all required Master Sanitation Schedule items daily.
• Pass on information to incoming shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
