About The Position

The General Production Worker position at Aerotek involves a utility role primarily focused on chemical handling during the busy fertilizer season in Rosemount, Minnesota. The worker will be responsible for loading chemicals, operating machinery, and ensuring safety protocols are followed while performing various tasks related to chemical filling and inspection.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• 2+ years of experience documenting work, including outbound shipments or quality checks on parts manufactured.
• Strong computer skills to enter information, pull orders, and track orders.

• Chemical filling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the loading dock filling trucks with chemicals in Rosemount.
• Operate controls to select the correct chemicals needed by tanker drivers.
• Apply proper safety gear including rubber boots, overalls, jacket, and face shield.
• Use a lift gate to connect hoses to tanker trucks and fill them with chemicals.
• Drive forklifts to move barrels or totes to filling areas and fill them by weight.
• Rebuild valves for tanks, operate equipment to pressurize valves onto tanks.
• Move completed pallets of tanks to staging or shipping areas using a forklift.
• Clean, prep, and remove old labels from tanks.
• Fill tanks with chlorine and assist with the inspection of final products before shipping.
• Operate machinery to sandblast cylinders.
