About The Position

Pro-Active Engineering, a leader in Printed Circuit Board assembly is building a 2nd shift! Our General Production Operator II performs tasks involved in general assembly of printed circuit boards. This involves ability to hand solder, machine operation capability, hand insertion of electronic components, trimming wires, clipping leads, programming and testing boards, box build assembly and printed circuit board cleaning. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

  • Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience soldering thru hole components
  • Experience with machines related to circuit board assembly
  • Experience with AOI/Xray machines related to circuit board inspection
  • High attention to detail and familiarity with inspecting circuit boards

Responsibilities

  • Follow internal assembly process documentation ensuring product meets internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to hand solder thru hold components, wires, etc.
  • Ability to operate PCBA machinery (Omron AOI, X-Ray, Selective Solder).
  • Separate printed circuit boards from production panels.
  • Manually insert through-hole components in accordance with IPC Class 2 Standards.
  • Prepare wires and leads through cutting, clipping, and tinning process
  • Prep raw components for secondary operations.
  • Hand washing of finished printed circuit board assemblies.
  • Properly label or mark circuit boards.
  • Keep an accurate count of product at your workstation while inspecting every piece for defects.
  • Glue, epoxy, mask and conformal coat circuit boards.
  • Program and functionally test circuit boards. Package and box assemblies as required for shipping.
  • Keep supplies stocked and preparing work area for the next shift.
  • Follow all safety rules, including wearing protective gear when required.
  • Ability to clean machines and production areas.
  • Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
