About The Position

The primary role of General Production is to perform tasks with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity. Level 1 General production starts at $21.01/hr with benefits. Prepare vinyl lineals for production using a lamination process Saw and machine vinyl and metal to prepare for window and door assembly utilizing CNC saws and mills. Assemble and glaze windows and patio doors through an assembly line process.

Requirements

  • This role requires consistent physical activity throughout the shift, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials weighing up to 50 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with team assistance.
  • Work may involve repetitive motions and working in a fast-paced assembly line manufacturing environment
  • Employees must be able to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per day on hard surfaces.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and climbing may be required to access materials and operate equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret production paperwork and labels
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using metrology instruments and recording inspection data
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times
  • Overtime may be required, sometimes on short notice, to meet production goals.
  • Candidates must be comfortable working with both manual and powered tools commonly used in manufacturing and assembly environments.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Stable work history with preferred 2 – 3 years of manufacturing experience. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proven problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Works well in a team environment with a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Process-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Assists co-workers in analyzing and correcting problems encountered in job assignments to perform work according to standard work procedures and instructions
  • Meet daily production rates while maintaining quality standards for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area.
  • Perform work according to standard work procedures and instructions
  • Support operations by completing additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Manager
