These are entry level, non-skilled, general labor positions responsible for the successful training and completion of an 8 WEEK QUALIFICATION PERIOD for the following job roles while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Machine Feeder- This position will place product onto the conveyor belt feeding it into a machine. The product must be positioned correctly on the belt as it enters the machine. The feeder will be required to test the machinery periodically to ensure it is functioning properly and keep records of machine testing/machine failures. Wing Cutter- The position will remove the wings from the breast frame. Wings will be removed, with minimal breast meat left on the wing. TM will grade off bad wings and place good wings on the conveyor belt. Breast Trimmer- This position will trim boneless breast fillets. Breast fillet is removed from the belt conveyor as it passes the workstation, bones, skin and cartilage are removed and the fillet is placed back onto the conveyor. Breast Puller- The position will manually remove breast meat from the frame, grasping the meat, pulling it downward, and using a knife to cut the flank meat to remove it from the rib cage. Once removed, the breast butterfly is placed onto the breast collection conveyor. The puller inspects the butterfly and frame. If any pulley, fan or rib bones are missing from the frame, the puller trims the bones from the corresponding breast butterfly or places the filet in a designated area to be further inspected and trimmed. Shoulder Cutter- The position will cut the front half at the shoulder joint. The shoulder must be cut to standard with pulley bones and scapula bones clean with eye meat removed. The shoulder will be pulled to the appropriate length for the wing cut to follow. Utility Labor- . This job is responsible for maintaining flow of product and keeping a sufficient supply of supplies for the area. This job is also responsible for filling in for various line positions/tasks as needed on a daily/hourly basis. Tender Scorer/Puller- This position will cut the breast tenderloin away from the breast shell without cutting into the tender. They will also remove any bones found in/on the tenderloin. Cone Stabber- this position will place the front halves on debone cones. Front halves will be transferred from the collection bins to cones at the beginning of the debone line. Successful trainees will correctly place a front half on each cone, without missing, dropping front halves, damaging ribs, or splitting the keel bones. Backup Labor- This position is trained to do all the positions on the debone cone line to standard at line speed.
