About The Position

Flexible schedule and parttime role; up to 30 hours per week Offloads and Packs parts painted on powder coating line by performing the following duties. May require overtime to include weekends and daily overtime. Performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to mass-produce products commonly weighting 50 pounds or less by performing the following duties. May work in other areas of either plant based on production requirements. PAINTLINE LOAD/ UNLOAD ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Offload parts from various racks on the line based on the supplied Paint Line Schedule. Pack and skid accurately and efficiently while performing quality checks such as Mil Thickness and Gloss tests. Visually inspect parts for defects such as contamination, heavy or light paint etc. Alert Team Lead of any non-conformances. Assisting with pre-racking parts as needed. Accurately complete all work documentation such as tracking down time, quantity of parts offloaded, accurately and fill out necessary scrap tags. Efficient in Excel and Microsoft is a plus. Fills in at other work areas in the company as needed. Work well with teammates. Look for ways to improve line capacity and quality. ASSEMBLER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together and performs quality inspection of completed parts. Packs completed parts. Conducts month-end inventory of completed and in-process parts. Places parts in specified relationship to each other according to work instructions and/or prints that are provided. Updates work instructions as procedures change. Receives and gives backup support from other assembly or production personnel. Reworks parts for assembly as required. Works at different workstations as production needs require and maintains organization of work areas.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Is trained in and follows Company safety policies and procedures and participates in the Continuous Improvement and Corrective Action programs.
