About the position
This position is responsible for entry level, non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Perform general labor tasks in various departments including stacker/supplier, food assembly, hand wrapper, and sanitation.
- Stand, walk, stretch, bend, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat, and reach as required.
- Lift, push, and carry weights ranging from 15 to 50 pounds.
- Work overtime and weekends as required to meet production deadlines.
- Adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment and be willing to be cross-trained in other areas.
- Stand for 8 - 12 hours per day on hard floors in extreme temperatures ranging from 50 to 120 degrees.
Requirements
- Prior experience is not required.
- Must have effective communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
