About The Position

SUMMARYShift will likely be 9-5 M-F. Some variance is possible. Must be willing to take and pass New Jersey Pharmacy certification within 90 days of employment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Assists pharmacist to prepare and dispense prescriptions• Ensures security of Protected Health Information as per HIPAA requirements• Assists in properly storing incoming supplies and drug. Counts stock to maintain accurate inventory records Sorts and disperses labels to prepare for filling• Answer and direct internal phone calls, pulls supplies for other departments as needed• Performs visual inspection and labeling of compounded products• Assists with the cleaning of the general pharmacy, and equipment• Maintains cleanliness daily by cleaning the dispensing room• Checks BUDs and expiration dates as directed• Add inventory to pharmacy software• Assist with the receiving and ordering of pharmacy products and supplies• Work with different areas of the pharmacy to ensure accurate and timely dispensing.
