About The Position

The position will be responsible for converting shop orders categorized as general pack.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses.
  • Knowledge of materials, production processes, quality control, and completion of training.
  • Communication Skills- Active Listening and Verbal Communication; Actively participating in a team environment.
  • Visual acuity to examine or inspect material.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, order jackets, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read, understand and comply with work directions, training manuals, safety rules
  • Standing for sustained periods of time.
  • Making substantial movements/motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Frequently lifting and/or moving material weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb and stoop, kneel or crouch.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

  • Complete general pack shop orders.
  • Prioritize shop orders by due date and complexity of job.
  • Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used or dimensions and tolerances.
  • Ensure production/quality levels are met and generate minimal scrap.
  • Complete all paperwork reporting of material and labor as required.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) -relevant measures (health, safety and environment) to promote an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) workspace.
  • Ensure full adherence to the “Leader Standard Work” profile.
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner.
  • As required, provide training based on control plans to new and/or junior employees with a focus on performing work in a safe, efficient, quality minded manner.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
