We are seeking a reliable and safety-minded General Operator - Switchgear to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you'll perform a variety of tasks to support the production of switchgear equipment. You will assist in material handling, machine operation, and general assembly, helping to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing processes for products that serve our global customers.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred.
  • Willingness to learn multiple tasks and rotate between duties as needed.
  • Ability to read basic work instructions or production documentation.
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, or light machinery.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
  • Team player attitude with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to follow all safety procedures and contribute to a positive safety culture.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the assembly of switchgear components including panels, enclosures, and subassemblies according to work instructions and drawings.
  • Move raw materials, parts, and finished products to and from workstations using hand carts, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed.
  • Operate basic machinery or tools under guidance to support production (e.g., drills, presses, or hand tools).
  • Perform basic quality checks on parts and components to ensure they meet production standards; report any issues or inconsistencies.
  • Prepare work areas by organizing tools, materials, and documentation for efficient production flow.
  • Accurately complete logs, production reports, or material movement forms as required.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
