Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 – 4 years related industrial manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints or other job specifications.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills and departmental applications: SPC & Shop Floor System.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add and subtract six digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
  • Ability to comprehend detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic set-ups and tooling changes and operate the secondary production machines after JSA trained.
  • Understand and perform following SOP (Standard Operating Procedures), work instructions, SPC, and/or special requirements.
  • Recognize and remedy minor machine or tooling malfunctioning; make minor adjustments as necessary.
  • Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions.
  • Read blueprint or Manufacturing Order (MO) for product specification.
  • Inspect product using calipers, micrometer, comparator, scales, templates, or other measuring instruments.
  • Record information such as First article inspection, in-process inspection, number of products tested, meter readings, and dates and times of work piece production.
  • Recognize cosmetic non-conformances based on Company specifications and initiate action to prevent non-conformance.
  • Operate Shop Floor System and record MO information.
  • Perform minor machine maintenance such as changing worn accessories, oiling and cleaning machines.
  • Report all malfunctioning equipment and non-conforming parts to Lead or Supervisors.
  • Perform record keeping, data entry, housekeeping and follow safety regulations.
  • Assist less-skilled operators to develop skills and set-ups.
  • Comply with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures.
  • Follow all 5S department procedures.
  • Attend all training provided and adhere to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans.
  • Seek opportunities to improve HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets.
  • Work under recommended waste elimination initiatives.
