About The Position

Q2 Artificial Lift Services (ALS) has 40+ repair and service facilities located across Canada and the U.S. Our service locations are supported by a world-class manufacturing operation (API & ISO Certified), plus a highly skilled engineering and optimization group. Q2 ALS manufactures high quality individual pump parts in the Oil and Gas Industry. We offer a complete product line of barrels, plungers, fittings, accessories and heat treated tubing needed for downhole pump installations. US Rod Manufacturing in Nappanee, Indiana, is sourcing for multiple manufacturing roles within our facility. This is a general application to determine best fit within our openings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector.
  • Experience working in an API Q1/ISO 9001:2015 environment a plus.
  • Ability to work in hot environments.
  • Sitting, bending, standing, walking 8-10 hours a day.
  • Must comply with all safety and PPE requirements.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Deadline-oriented.
  • Works well with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Review shop order packet for procedural instructions.
  • Perform and assist own setups.
  • Check dimensions of parts and hold tolerance of plus or minus .001.
  • Operate and monitor furnaces per established procedures.
  • Build heat treat loads: including placement of parts, test material and preparation of load diagrams.
  • Perform routine furnace and associated equipment maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair heat treat equipment.
  • Prepare product and paperwork for outside processing.
  • Determine and set heat treat schedules with team leader and scheduling.
  • Verify settings by measuring first piece performing 100% visual and dimensional inspection per ISO procedure frequencies.
  • Set-up lathes by selecting, installing, indicating, and adjusting required work-holding, tools, fixturing, tool holders, attachments, indexers, and stops.
  • Maintain specifications by observing machine cycles; taking measurements; troubleshooting, adjusting and reprogramming; monitoring and replacing tools; adhering to quality procedures.
  • Achieve routing setup and run times and report any difficulties to shop lead.
  • Perform shot peen processing.
  • Load shot peen material into the blasting machine.
  • Keep product feeding into machine.
  • Roll paint onto bundles.
  • Package finished bundles.
