About The Position

This position is responsible for reviewing and processing initial applications for retail licenses, manufacturer and wholesale licenses, vendor representative licenses, broker licenses, salesperson licenses, special licenses, as well as promotion events and inventory transfers. This position assists with escorting and annual renewal functions. This position is also responsible for updating pending files after the initial enforcement investigations as well as assembling and processing the licensing files for final processing. In addition, this position is responsible for answering record calls to the Unit from the general public as well as from other state agencies and assists division personnel by retrieving and interpreting information contained in the record for other staff members. This position is also responsible for maintaining the central file system and database containing active and inactive licensing files for MLCC that includes correspondence, materials and data for the Licensing, Enforcement and Executive Service Divisions.

Requirements

  • Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
  • General Office Assistant 5: No specific type or amount of experience is required.
  • General Office Assistant 6: One year of administrative support experience.
  • General Office Assistant E7: Two years of administrative support experience, including one year equivalent to the intermediate level.
