About The Position

The General Merchandise Team Leader is responsible for ensuring a consistent experience for guests by managing product availability, pricing, and merchandising on the sales floor. This role involves leading the General Merchandise and Food Sales team in various operational processes, including inbound and outbound logistics, inventory accuracy, and promotional signing. The Team Leader will also be involved in coaching and developing team members, executing daily workloads, and maintaining a guest-first culture.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Age 18 or older.
• Previous retail experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
• Capability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily/weekly workload to meet department and store sales goals.
• Educate team on operational procedures affecting inventory management and product availability.
• Assess reporting to identify gaps in GM processes and develop plans for resolution.
• Lead daily execution of tasks such as receiving products and organizing merchandise.
• Assign daily tasks to team members based on workload and guest traffic patterns.
• Establish clear goals and expectations for team members.
• Collaborate with all teams to ensure the store is guest-ready.
• Support guest services and maintain compliance with laws and safety standards.
• Model a culture of ethical conduct and safety.
• Engage with guests and provide assistance as needed.
