About The Position

The General Merchandise Team Leader (Early Morning Logistics Supervisor) at Target is responsible for leading the General Merchandise and Food Sales team, ensuring that products are set, merchandised, and available for guests. This role involves managing inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes, as well as maintaining inventory accuracy and merchandise setup. The Team Leader will also coach and develop hourly team members, execute daily workloads, and ensure a guest-first culture within the team. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Age 18 or older.
• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
• Effective communication skills.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement.
• Educate team on operational procedures affecting inventory management and store profitability.
• Assess reporting to identify gaps in GM processes and develop plans for resolution.
• Lead daily execution of tasks such as receiving products, restocking shelves, and organizing the backroom.
• Assign daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns.
• Establish clear goals and expectations for team members.
• Lead pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work accurately.
• Collaborate with all teams and leaders to ensure the store is guest ready.
• Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team.
• Model a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
