This is a high-impact leadership role as a General Merchandise Area Leader at the Standale, MI store. The position involves inspiring teams, driving results, and shaping the future of the store. Key responsibilities include leading Team Leaders and Leads, owning operational and financial outcomes, and building a strong talent pipeline through coaching, development, and succession planning. The role requires a passion for merchandising, people leadership, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture. The Area Leader is accountable for overall team member engagement, including recognition, feedback, coaching, performance management, training, development, and succession planning. They will direct Leads and Team Leaders, and are ultimately responsible for area operations and financials such as shrink, productivity, safety, scheduling, forecasting staffing needs, and conflict resolution. Additionally, the Area Leader will identify and implement process improvements and uphold the Meijer culture.
