About The Position

MRT Lawn and Garden Center is opening its third location in Venice, FL in fall 2025 and is expanding its team. We are seeking passionate, experienced leaders to join us as Store Managers and Management Team Members at our Venice or Port Charlotte locations. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing, family-owned chain of retail garden centers in Southwest Florida, especially for those looking to transition away from the corporate structure.

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of retail management experience (garden center or hardware store experience preferred).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Computer proficiency, including knowledge of Excel and experience with Epicor or similar POS systems.
• The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and remain on their feet for 8 to 10 hours per shift.
• Weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Guide, train, and mentor associates to reach their full potential.
• Oversee sales, expenses, and profits while ensuring operational excellence.
• Foster a customer-first culture, ensuring every customer has a top-tier experience.
• Monitor store performance and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
