About the position
The General Manager at BELFOR is responsible for overseeing all operations within the office, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading the team to achieve business goals. This role focuses on managing personnel, financial components, and maintaining client relationships while driving business growth.
Responsibilities
- Hire and recruit talent
- Manage financial components including P&L and budgets of the office
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Ensure staff members are properly trained in BELFOR practices and protocols
- Develop career paths to maintain retention of team members
- Work independently and meet managerial goals
- Communicate professionally with coworkers, customers, and vendors
- Organize daily activities of self and others and work as a team player
- Lead the team to established goals
- Supervise the work of estimators, project managers, administrators, asset managers, and sales and marketing efforts
- Monitor workflow and systems for effective task completion
- Attend marketing events to be visible to potential leads and customers
- Inspect random projects to confirm quality control
- Follow up on customer complaints and determine issues for resolution
- Perform other duties as mandated by regional manager, safety manager, and corporate executive team.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a managerial role
- Strong understanding of financial management including P&L and budgeting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Knowledge of compliance regulations at federal, state, and local levels
- Experience in the restoration or construction industry is preferred
