About The Position

The General Manager at Sardi's Peruvian Chicken is responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the restaurant. This role emphasizes delivering impeccable service, maintaining high food quality, and fostering a positive work environment. The General Manager leads the team, ensures adherence to company policies, and exercises independent judgment in daily operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma; College degree highly preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years supervisory experience in the food service, hospitality, or retail industry.
  • Management experience must include responsibility for complete business unit operations.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Experience compiling, preparing, and maintaining operational P&L statements, budgets, and cost controls.
  • Basic knowledge of PC functions to prepare various computerized store reports.
  • Applied experience handling OSHA, EEOC, FLMA, FLSA, and Health Department matters.
  • Certified to meet state safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Ability to read, apply, and communicate company materials printed in English.
  • Ability to effectively manage, develop, and coach team members.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate understanding of guest and team member satisfaction through excellent people management skills.
  • Hire high-quality team members who align with Sardi's core values.
  • Work effectively with recruiting, training, and HR personnel to achieve store-level team member goals.
  • Ensure team members are selected and properly trained to deliver impeccable guest service.
  • Develop team members by effectively coaching performance and recommending promotions.
  • Hold team members, managers, and self-accountable for methods, standards, and results.
  • Ensure effective team practices at the store level through appropriate discipline, coaching, and rewards.
  • Set the highest store-level standards of performance against established operational guidelines.
  • Ensure all team members follow established guidelines for product quality, availability, and excellence.
  • Ensure all service procedures are followed and friendliness standards are met.
  • Maintain full accountability for inventory, ordering, and receiving to maximize product quality and availability.
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel at home and team members enjoy working.
  • Utilize feedback tools to direct team efforts based on guest feedback.
  • Spend the majority of time in the front of the house interacting with team members and guests.
  • Follow and ensure prescribed facility cleanliness, maintenance, and safety practices.
  • Get to know the neighborhood and take an active interest in the community.
  • Provide leadership that generates an atmosphere where people strive to exceed expectations.
  • Maintain a labor schedule that meets guest demand.
  • Maximize financial management through effective management of people, products, place, and profit.
  • Manage and budget to control cash flow, revenue growth, food cost, labor cost, and other operating expenses.
  • Maintain integrity of food cost management systems and perform weekly inventory.
  • Ensure accuracy of all food and beverage orders and deliveries.
  • Execute all marketing initiatives thoroughly and support L.S.M. programs.
