About The Position

We are seeking a General Manager with the ambition and leadership skills to grow into an Area Manager position for our laundromat business. This role involves overseeing one laundromat location, leading and developing staff, ensuring operational excellence, and driving business growth. The General Manager will implement strategies to improve service quality, efficiency, and profitability while delivering an exceptional customer experience. This position offers a pathway to increased responsibilities and compensation as the individual demonstrates their ability to manage operations effectively.

Requirements

  • 3 years of management experience in a service-oriented industry (experience in laundry, hospitality, or retail a plus).
  • Strong leadership, team building, and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop others.
  • A results-oriented mindset with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding operational and financial goals.
  • Ability to manage and improve complex operations while ensuring high standards of customer service.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • A growth mindset, with the ambition to eventually step into an Area Manager position and take on greater responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day operations for store location, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Lead, train, and develop a team consisting of one Assistant General Manager and 6 to 8 laundry associates to meet performance targets and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Monitor financial performance for each store, working with senior leadership team to achieve revenue goals, manage budget and reduce costs.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational procedures across the locations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operations, from streamlining processes to enhancing customer experience.
  • Address customer feedback and resolve any operational issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with the Store Opening and Ops Improvement Specialist to develop and implement long-term growth strategies and set performance targets.
  • Take on progressively more strategic responsibilities as you transition into an Area Manager role.
