About The Position

We’re seeking an experienced, visionary, and hands-on General Manager to lead the opening and day-to-day operations of our soon to open Le Meridien San Diego Pinnacle Hotel in downtown San Diego. This is a rare opportunity to be part of hotel from the ground up—shaping the guest experience, building an exceptional team, and bringing a new hospitality destination to life. About the Role: As the General Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of hotel operations—from front desk and housekeeping to food & beverage and guest services. You’ll serve as the face of the property and the key liaison between ownership, staff, and guests. Your leadership will establish the service standards, culture, and operational excellence that define our brand. The hotel features 231 guestrooms, 11,000 sq ft of function space, restaurant, and lounge.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a senior level hotel management position at a premium branded property (GM/AGM/DOO). Marriott brand experience preferred.
  • Have direct hotel leadership experience in the San Diego Market.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, and F&B
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences and meeting financial targets
  • Familiarity with PMS and hotel technology systems
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality or Hotel Management an asset.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Greater San Diego and Southern California market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all pre-opening planning, including staffing, training, systems implementation, and SOP development
  • Oversee all operational departments (front office, housekeeping, F&B, maintenance, etc.)
  • Hire, onboard, and inspire a high-performing, service-focused team
  • Ensure a consistently exceptional guest experience that drives satisfaction and loyalty
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, and financial performance (P&L responsibility)
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure compliance with local regulations
  • Uphold the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and professionalism
  • Collaborate with ownership and marketing teams to establish and grow the hotel's presence in the market
