About The Position

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations during their shift, including cost controls, inventory management, cash handling, and customer relations. This role requires setting an example for the crew by strictly adhering to all company policies and procedures. Key responsibilities encompass staffing, administrative paperwork, food management, scheduling, maintaining store image and standards, ensuring excellent customer service, managing attendance and punctuality, coordinating transportation, maintaining store cleanliness, executing marketing initiatives, and ensuring overall profitability. The position requires prior Domino's management experience. General duties include operating all store equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, conducting inventory, completing associated paperwork, and daily cleaning of the facility and equipment. Training is provided on the job. Essential skills include the ability to comprehend and give written instructions, communicate verbally with customers and co-workers, perform accurate arithmetic, make correct monetary change, and possess motor coordination for rapid and accurate order entry using a computer keyboard or touch screen. The work environment involves exposure to varying weather conditions during outside tasks and deliveries, temperature fluctuations within the store (from 36 degrees in the cooler to 90+ degrees in work areas), food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. The role demands the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, interact with people, analyze data, and make judgments. Physical requirements are extensive, including prolonged standing, walking, occasional sitting for paperwork, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying various items, pushing/pulling, infrequent climbing, stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, and continuous reaching. The role also includes driving for product delivery and flyer distribution, necessitating a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, access to an insured vehicle, and strong navigational skills to traverse diverse terrains and multi-story buildings.

Requirements

  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Valid driver's license with safe driving record meeting company standards.
  • Access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
  • Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within designated delivery area.
  • Ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
  • Far vision and night vision for driving.
