Essential skills include the ability to comprehend and give written instructions, communicate verbally with customers and co-workers, perform accurate arithmetic, make correct monetary change, and possess motor coordination for rapid and accurate order entry using a computer keyboard or touch screen. The work environment involves exposure to varying weather conditions during outside tasks and deliveries, temperature fluctuations within the store (from 36 degrees in the cooler to 90+ degrees in work areas), food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. The role demands the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, interact with people, analyze data, and make judgments. Physical requirements are extensive, including prolonged standing, walking, occasional sitting for paperwork, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying various items, pushing/pulling, infrequent climbing, stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, and continuous reaching. The role also includes driving for product delivery and flyer distribution, necessitating a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, access to an insured vehicle, and strong navigational skills to traverse diverse terrains and multi-story buildings.
