About The Position

The General Manager contributes to profitable sales growth by executing the overall store strategy. This includes leading and engaging the team, managing company merchandise and operational excellence, training and developing associates, and executing sales-building programs. The role involves modeling, coaching, and holding the team accountable for outstanding customer service, engaging with associates and customers, and conducting store walkthroughs for pricing/signing accuracy. The General Manager will also analyze sales and expense data to identify opportunities, communicate business objectives and performance, strategically drive sales, improve store consistency around key performance metrics, and participate in peer group discussions. Team development responsibilities include providing in-the-moment coaching, maintaining performance notes, addressing performance gaps, enhancing leaders' execution abilities, utilizing recognition and rewards, and motivating teams to align with company strategy. The role also involves leading Specialty Businesses like Salon Manager/Beauty Manager/Supervisors and engaging related teams, analyzing sales and expenses to drive performance. Finally, the General Manager supports shrink and safety initiatives and is expected to consistently meet established performance standards, including sales, service, profit, productivity, and attendance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years retail leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
