About The Position

Fowler Automotive is seeking an experienced results-focused, highly driven General Manager well qualified to lead our Toyota dealership in Norman, OK. The General Manager would be responsible for the dealerships overall objectives, goals, and customer satisfaction at the dealership.

Requirements

  • Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Manufacturer Training
  • State Sales License
  • Valid Driver's License and MVR acceptable to our Insurance Carrier
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Responsibilities

  • Hiring all management positions, completing performance evaluations regularly and developing short and long-term goals for each department manager.
  • Communicate and enforce the policies and procedures of the dealership to all employees.
  • Planning and developing short and long-term goals and objectives annually.
  • Paying close attention to daily operations, recommending and creating improved courses of action where necessary.
  • Forecasts and obtains goals and objectives for sales, gross, and key expenses on monthly and annual basis.
  • Participates in the preparation of the annual dealership forecast by projecting unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profits for all departments.
  • Holds regularly scheduled manager meetings to discuss topics such as Inventory aging, Trade-ins, F&I Product penetrations and PRU, Open parts tickets and repair orders, Average hours per RO, Average Dollars per customer-pay RO, In-and-out time for Quick Lane, etc.
  • Overseeing the monthly financial statement to ensure it is complete, accurate and submitted on time to the management/dealership owners.
  • Meets with the general sales manager to review monthly forecasts, commission sheets, productivity reports, and the profit performance of each department as a whole.
  • Address customer complaints that department managers are unable to rectify and take the necessary steps to resolve these complaints.
