About The Position

The General Manager will successfully execute the operational strategy through sound leadership of all hotel activities in alignment with our mission, values, standards, and goals established by Alexa MGMT. The General Manager is responsible for driving excellence and consistently delivering results that contribute to the overall success of the hotel, by accomplishing performance objectives focused on business revenues, guest and team member satisfaction, local and national market reputation, and effectiveness and efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide visible, hands-on leadership.
  • Build, mentor, and develop department heads and management teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and service excellence.
  • Lead recruitment, training, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Ensure alignment with company values and operational standards.
  • Oversee daily hotel and restaurant operations.
  • Ensure seamless front-of-house and back-of-house execution.
  • Maintain brand standards, service standards, and property presentation.
  • Drive guest satisfaction scores and respond promptly to guest feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, labor, and regulatory requirements.
  • Own and manage P&L performance.
  • Develop and execute annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor labor costs, cost of goods sold, and operating expenses.
  • Drive revenue growth through strategic marketing, sales initiatives, and yield management.
  • Analyze financial reports and implement corrective action when necessary.
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to drive occupancy and restaurant revenue.
  • Identify new revenue opportunities including events, catering, bar programming, and partnerships.
  • Strengthen community relationships and brand presence in the local market.
  • Champion an elevated and personalized guest experience.
  • Lead by example in hospitality and service engagement.
  • Anticipate guest needs and ensure proactive service culture.
  • Ensure the property is well-maintained and operating efficiently.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs.
  • Collaborate with ownership on capital improvements and long-term asset planning.
