About The Position

The company encourages General Managers to think like owners, fostering creativity in hiring great associates, marketing HoneyBaked, and community outreach. GMs are rewarded for reaching goals and living company values through a generous bonus program tied to store profitability. The role involves leading store operations and achieving overall performance goals including sales, customer service, product quality, and staff development. Unlike most companies, a multi-week training program with experienced trainers is provided to equip GMs with the tools to make decisions. The company is a 65+ year old brand known for uncompromised quality, but also believes in balance. Stores are closed on Sundays, and managers typically work about 50 hours per week, except for four or five peak weeks a year. Managers have full accountability for their store operations. They offer a leadership development program to grow talent, with many individuals progressing from store associate to senior leadership or even franchise ownership.

Requirements

  • Is a current GM from a retail or restaurant environment
  • Is passionate about personal, hands-on service for their customers
  • Can show how they've grown in previous roles
  • Knows what affects the P&L
  • Can execute a business plan
  • Would never compromise on the quality of the products they serve/sell
  • Has a strong desire to increase sales and build relationships in the community
  • Is a great coach who can identify and develop awesome talent
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have reliable transportation
