The General Manager (GM) is responsible for all store operations including RV Sales, Parts, and Service. Primary responsibilities include team development (goal setting, team building, recruiting, accountability, etc.), sales objectives, facility and merchandising, customer satisfaction, inventory, and budgeting and forecasting. Key Objectives: Operations and Sales Leadership Provide excellent operational support to the organization, creating an environment that releases individuals and teams to dedicate their resources to client service. Enable and empower team members to effectively function with clarity and efficiency Work with Parts & Service as well as Rental Department to ensure sales goals are achieved. Meet sales goals by ensuring sales and finance staff work diligently to achieve their individual goals Oversee product merchandising for both lot inventory and showroom to ensure everything is well organized and clean. Ensure lot flow and organization is effective as well as traffic control is in place Maintain a clean work environment throughout offices, showroom, and Parts & Service Monitor customer service feedback to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction Financial Oversight and Services Optimization Set quarterly and annual goals for store P&L for profitability Focus on budgeting and forecasting, enhancing accountability throughout each department Monitor, analyze, and act on actual budget and financial performance to optimize the store’s programs, financial outcomes, growth, and viability In partnership with the senior finance/accounting team, actively manage the financial performance, resources and cash management of the store. Ensure profitability, cash flow and dividends are healthy and performing above industry trends when applicable Dedicate creativity, energy and resources to continuous process improvement, profitably enhancing procedures while reducing waste and minimizing risk Talent and Team Development Hire, train, and motivate all department managers Maintain consistent discipline and day-to-day management, holding team members accountable for their work Develop team members through goal setting, strategizing, and consistent development and training Meet with managers individually to develop monthly and annual goals and objectives, and to review actual performance. Create and execute individual performance plans with team members and managers. Address talent needs that support operational excellence and align with the store’s overall strategy for growth and deliver Strengthen recruitment initiatives, ensuring that positional capabilities and character requirements are clearly identified and evaluated prior to hiring Mentor leaders to increase capabilities and influence, guiding them towards excellence in delivery; invest resources in advancing key leaders into levels of greater responsibility Identify store-wide skill and training gaps and ensures proactive development plans are in place on a team and individual basis for appropriate levels of the organization Intentionally focus on associate development and retention at all levels, instilling a mindset with organizational leaders that they solve business problems through developing talent Partners with Management Team to maintain company communication programs and positive associate relations. Fosters employee engagement throughout all levels of the organization
